Railways providing connectivity to four Dhams including Kedarnath and Badrinath

Indian Railway, IRCTC Chardham Rail line project: Indian Railways is working on rail connectivity to connect Char Dham. Survey work has now been completed in this episode. Railways are providing rail connectivity to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri under 'Char Dham Project'.

The survey has revealed that most of this entire project will pass through inaccessible hilly areas. For this, railways will also have to build tunnels at many places. Survey of railway project from Doiwala to Uttarkashi and Barkot has been completed.

According to the railway, the railway line will go to Gangotri and Yamanotri. At the same time, Badrinath and Kedarnath will soon be connected by rail network. Work is already on here. The work of laying the line between Rishikesh to Karnaprayag is going on fast. Out of this 125 km long trek, 105 km line will pass through the tunnel.

A total of 12 stations are being built between this line. Construction of a railway station and tunnel is almost complete. Construction of five tunnels is underway. Apart from these, railways have planned on the Doiwala Uttarkashi Barkot railway line. This railway line will be 122 km long.

10 railway stations are being built under this railway project. At present, there is a train service from Haldwani to Kathgodam for this holy journey. The commencement of the railway track will save passengers a lot of time and more and more passengers will be able to visit these holy places associated with faith.
