Another bank in the country seems to be in crisis. Jammu & Kashmir Bank has withheld salary of its 2800 employees. These employees are admitted within 6 years. According to local media, the bank has withheld the salary for the month of June in the list of Anti Corruption Bureau which is investigating the employees.
Official sources say that this is not really our decision. This is related to the raid of ACB in the corporate office of Jammu and Kashmir Bank when they acquired some files last year. We approached the Anti Corruption Court and asked for a photocopy of those files. The court accepted our request and said that the salary of these employees should be withheld. Official sources of Jammu and Kashmir Bank said that they are knocking at the High Court to release the salaries of these employees. There is an atmosphere of fear among employees due to withholding of salary.
A bank official said, “Currently we are not able to release their salary, but there is no concern, we are following it, we have already approached the court and are sure that the issue will be resolved in a few days.” I will solve it. “
Farooq Ahmad Law, vice-president of J&K Bank Ltd., recognized that employees did not receive their salaries. He clarified that the salary has been withheld after the ACB started investigating some case related to the institution, but we have approached the court. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon.
