In the state, a coalition government of BJP and JJP led by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has issued an order to freeze DA and DR (Dearness Relief) of all employees and pensioners. Due to COVID-19, this order has been issued by the state government, which will remain in effect till July 2021.
“In view of the corona virus crisis, it has been decided that additional installment of Dearness Allowance given to State Government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners (which was due from January 1, 2020,” said the official notification of the Finance Department of the state. Is) she will not be given. Additional installments of DA and DR will not be given from July 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021. By the way, DA and DR will continue to be paid at the current rate which is 17 per cent. “
The letter said – Whenever the government decides on the installments of DA and DR to be given after July 1, 2021, the rate of DA and DR will be the same, which will come into effect from January 1, 2020. Arrears from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 will also not be given.
Explain that the central government has also banned the increase in dearness allowance. The freezing of DA / DR by July 2021 would save the Center around Rs 37,500 crore, while the states would save ₹ 82,500 crore. It is believed that this money can be used by the government to deal with the crisis arising out of the Corona epidemic and to provide other financial assistance related to relief.
Meanwhile, the state government has also given great relief to its employees. The government has approved all General Provident Fund (GPF) withdrawals.
